Who is the qualification for?
School improvement partners or senior leaders, who provide strategic leadership, accountability and improve outcomes within their role.
What are the qualification entry requirements?
Learners should be over 18, hold QTS and have a current active role within school improvement, senior leadership or aspiring to these within next two years.
What does the qualification cover?
This qualification allows learners to develop and practise the knowledge and skills required to bring about sustainable, ethical, innovative and supportive school and Trust cultures that get the best from people and enable the delivery of outcomes across multiple education settings.
Who was the qualification designed for?
Those working in senior leadership positions or those already working in school improvement roles to develop their knowledge and practice of School Improvement and in particular across multiple school settings e.g. multi-academy trust.
What opportunities for progression are there?
This qualification may provide access to Higher Education and support those seeking to move into school improvement roles within groups of schools / Multi-academy Trusts and British international schools.

School Improvement experts including leadership and management, national school improvement partners, Higher Education Institutions and TT Education customers and schools (Primary, Secondary, Special and with British international schools in mind).

What will I study?
There are six modules that you will study through a tutor and self-led programme, across a 12-month period. Modules are designed to work across flexibly with those working in educational settings, taking into account the academic year calendar.
Will there be a programme induction?
At the start of the programme you will be invited to a two-day residential (or two day virtually dependent on programme choice). During these two days you will carry out a programme induction, including overview and assessment requirements. You will also access TT Education’s innovative assessment centre where you will gain valuable information from a range of self-assessment tasks. These feed into a personalised plan to support you on your journey to achieving the qualification and growing your own self-awareness to aid you in you workplace role. The residential also brings together all programme learners, providing an invaluable networking opportunity.

Learners should ensure any special consideration or reasonable adjustments are known to TT Education upon programme commencement. The programme is delivered in English Language.

What does Total Qualification Time (TQT) mean?
Total Qualification Time (TQT) is the number of notional hours which represents an estimate of the total amount of time that could reasonably be expected to be required, in order for a learner to achieve and demonstrate the achievement of the level of attainment necessary for the award of a qualification. This includes guided hours and hours where the learner is estimated to be carrying out aspects such as additional reading, self-study such as on-demand, pre-recorded virtual training and workplace practice.

When is the deadline to apply for my place?
The deadline to apply for the National Certificate in School Improvement Practice (January 2025 start date) is 30th November 2024.
How much does the qualification cost to complete?
This 24 -month programmes prices start from just £3,500+VAT* per person. The cost can be school invoiced or individually met.
